  1. @futurerocklgnds Now that Gabriel is in with Genesis, that will be the end of his solo Rock Hall chances-IMO
  2. Does Abba's induction mean that another 70's/80's Pop act like Hall & Oates has a better chance now? Or has nothing really changed?
  3. Oh, and the best Hall induction news? The Chili Peppers didn't get in first year eligible.
  4. @Wildaboutmusic A bunch of Brill Building songwriters made it, but not Neil Diamond? I'm with you on this!
  5. @futurerocklgnds Like I said in an earlier post. It would be Kiss or Genesis but not both.
  6. Not sure how I missed this: Nominees for 2010 Songwriters Hall of Fame http://bit.ly/8pQDrF
  7. @futurerocklgnds Outside of Darlene Love, I hope you're right. I have a feeling Kiss or Genesis but not both. And please no RHCP this year!
  8. RT @billtop40: Billboard names Daniel Powter "One Hit Wonder" of the decade - see the rest of the top 5 too http://bit.ly/7F5VTV
  9. @roberthilburn Album wise no contest: Phil Spector's Christmas. Elvis good choice for singles, but I'd lean towards Brenda Lee
  10. @roberthilburn Once again Poker Face is a great single, and will end up in my Top 10 Pazz & Jop singles
  11. @roberthilburn Actually the Peas album is pretty good. Have you listened to it? Might end up on my Pazz & Jop Top 10
  12. @roberthilburn Didn't George Michael put out an album titled LIsten Without Prejudice? Anyone who knocks the Peas and Gaga should take note.
  13. @roberthilburn Rolling Stone gave him 3 stars. Have you listened to all these albums your're dissing like Lady Gaga or the Black Eyed Peas?
  14. @roberthilburn You're comparing Arcade Fire albums with Boyle and Lambert's? 67 is not bad for Lambert, and most reviews have been postiive
  15. @rockcritics Well, he's MY Artist of the Decade
  16. If Jack White is Artist of the Decade, who are the runner-ups? Beyonce, Kanye, Timberlake?
  17. BTW- My fave Bee Gee song that nobody remembers? 1975's "Fanny" which charted at #12
  18. NY Times Opinion page has editorial on Bee Gees' 50th Anniversary http://bit.ly/6RWcsw
  19. Once again roberthilburn champions the more "serious" artist (alicia keys) over the more "popular" one (beyonce)
  20. RT @roberthilburn: Why don't we hear more about ALICIA KEYS and less about BEYONCE.?...Keys is clearly the superior artist....
