  1. There are old drivers, and there are bold drivers. But there are very few old bold drivers. (My justification for driving slowly.) !q
  2. Seriously might buy the Penumbra Collection while its on special. Heard very good reports about it in the past.
  3. Wow. Didnt know there was a Linux version of Penumbra. Played the Windows demo in Wine a year or two ago.
  4. @harrisony Careful...you might jinx it. They might spontaneously combust yet.
  5. Apple Chancery just screams "CD's DVD's Video's".
  6. Latin Modern Sans is not pretty when blown up, but makes a surprisingly nice body font. (Debian package lmodern)
  7. When will somebody make a free software alternative that is even vaguely comparable to Visio?
  8. Actually, maybe not. Connecting to the FTP server via real IPv6 transport doesnt work. (Although they have HTTP working.)
  9. Sweet. @Internodes FTP server says 220 ::ffff:150.101.135.3 FTP server ready. Must be listening on [::]:21, not 0.0.0.0:21.
  10. @zaheermerali From what I remember, it was something to do with the .pyc files in /usr/lib/flumotion, but I didn't look into it closely.
  11. Would be *really* nice to see RTP (i.e. UDP) support in Flumotion.
  12. @zaheermerali Sorry, I can't reproduce it any more. I purged my configuration files and my /usr/lib/flumotion and it works.
  13. When Flumotion works, it's a nice easy simple HTTP streamer/encoder. Caveat: getting it working in the first place.
  14. Thats funny. flumotion-admin segfaults when I run it by itself, but when I run it with strace, it magically fixes itself. Not helpful.
  15. Annoying. Not a single FireWire cable to be found.
  16. Yay -- got GNS3 emulating some Cisco 3745 routers in a virtual topology. I can then connect them to a TAP interface on my computer -- FTW!
  17. A rather nasty hack Chromium does to improve performance: it launches itself with a nice level of -2. How nice.
  18. Compare: http://ur1.ca/7c8d (current) vs. http://ur1.ca/7c7z (web archive from 2008). I really liked the Quadrata text from the old version.
  19. The current iteration of the President of Ukraine website is much crappier than the previous iteration from a few years ago.
  20. I still find it incredulous that Visio 2003 supports exporting to SVG, while IE8 hasnt a sausage.
