@ We're a big district -- tons of elem, intermediate, MS, and 5 5A (2000 stds) HSs. Have to stagger routes to cover all schools.

@ Thats what I wish they would do, but yes, buses still problem. Have to pick up plaayers with no transportation, then run routes.

@ Wow!! It seems backwards to me to have HS start earliest for us. Elem brains are working early in am, HS brains don't.

@ That's my dist. Doesn't want to spend $ on buses so they stagger start times for elem, MS, HS. HS starts first.

But, I teach in TX and educ is backburner to football. Can't have practice/have kids walk home in dark, regardless of what's best for all.

Doesn't make sense for high schoolers to have school from 7:15-2:30. They return to a home w/ no supervision. It's an invitation 4 trouble!
