  1. @SteveALee SAPI5 seems to work the same for NVDA in Win7. :) On a related note, never seen a 64 bit SAPI5 engine, so no idea how that works.
  2. Wo. The collective noun for ferrets is "business"; "a business of ferrets". You learn something new every day.
  3. @Joanmarie: Next you'll be wanting to comment on Bugzilla bugs from Twitter...
  4. @vick08: We can get IE8 to crash just by poking around with MSAA out-of-process. Ug.
  5. @vick08: Some sort of resource leak I suspect, but not sure. I wouldn't be surprised if it's due to bugs in the a11y implementation.
  6. @aaronlev: An even better reason not ot use the screen reader flag to determine whether a11y should be enabled! :)
  7. I mostly like #Windows7. However, having to restart Explorer every now and then due to it becoming progressively laggier is very annoying.
  8. <Insert usual rant about breakfast here.>
  9. @vick08 For the most part. A11y inspection tools would also and perhaps automation/testing tools, but all of these probably need a11y anyway
  10. Great thoughts on #accessibility by @slicknet: http://tinyurl.com/yd8nyt9 via @vick08
  11. @Vick08: The correct solution is to dynamically enable a11y when queried for MSAA; i.e. watch for WM_GETOBJECT.
  12. Meh. I really can't be bothered doing exercise. <sighs>
  13. The Windows screen reader flag is a bad idea. It is badly implemented. Please stop using it. Make it die.
  14. Hahaha. RT @tommytrc: Go to Google. Type in "Ewmew Fudd". Click "I'm feeling lucky". You're welcome
  15. Am I the only one to still find texting on a phone keypad to be an exasperatingly infuriating, inefficient experience, even after 4 years?
  16. If the stupid cockatiel didn't make so much damned noise, it might attract less unwanted attention from predatory birds.
  17. Ah. Just discovered I can get my old #Thunderbird quick search functionality back very easily. <relief>
  18. How the hell do you interpret the accursed new faceted search in #Thunderbird? I just don't get it, even with a11y fixes.
  19. @AbilityNet: I have to edit almost every Tweet I make inc this one. I'm just more verbose by nature. Starting to resent Tweeting altogether.
  20. Twitter, I hate you and your stupid 140 character limit. Die! Die! Die
