  1. Read about my bagel fixation at http://jay-mitchell.blogspot.com/2009/10/bagel-therapy.html
  2. Three days without bagels. Available alternatives - bread, crackers, rice cakes - found wanting. There is no substitute for a bagel buzz.
  3. Corollary #2 Proof: It took me longer, and a lot more gas, to get back to sunny SoCal than to drive to Sac. (The freezing rain was a bonus.)
  4. MLHFB Corollary #2: The return trip is always harder than the trip out.
  5. MLHFB Corollary #1: the second half of sandwhich is always messier than the first.
  6. Two validations of Mitchell's Second Law of Half-Finished Business during my Sacramento sojourn ...
  7. A shout-out to a great cause: Broadcasters Foundation of America (www.broadcastersfoundation.org). A helping hand when it's needed.
  8. PBS RRHOF: Spine-chilling moments. Springsteen doing backup for Sam Moore; Ditto Paul Simon for Dion DiMucci. The circle is unbroken.
  9. Sacramento: can't say it's my favorite town. Reminds me of Albany. So I've pissed off residents of two towns in one tweet. That's economy.
  10. Reunion with bro gratifying. We're great friends, it turns out, with lots in common. Great week.
  11. In Sacramento for the week, reconnecting with my brother after 30 years. We've kept in touch, we get along great; just haven't seen him.
  12. Simon & Garfunkel performing. Absolutely no personal connection. Didn't look at one another once. But they were digging the sublime harmony.
  13. Watching PBS's R&R Hall of Fame concert. I don't live in the past, especially musically, but this is an awesome collection of talent.
  14. Met with Mal Clark this week. Our killer media website platform will launch Q1. Mal is a genius. This will be awesome for radio stations.
  15. LinkedIn now displays your tweats. Smart. When Facebook does it, we'll be in business.
  16. MySpace has become like a strip mall with the Army recruiting station as its anchor store. Next stop: "This domain for sale."
  17. Or, as my friend Jo admonished, "Carpe cakem." (Wasn't he that Columbo lookalike radio guy?)
  18. I know the avalanche of birthday wishes are bot-prompted, but it still feels good. I fully intend to have my cake and eat it, too.
  19. Colleague/friend Mal showed me his Motorola Google phone. Very sweet. For us locked into Verizon by choice or contract, this may be The One.
  20. This social-networking thing is out of control. Plaxo, LinkedIn, FaceBook, MySpace, and this here Twitter. Are they worth it? I'm not sure.
