  1. Amazon is releasing a desktop Kindle Reader app, making a netbook even more tempting. Windows only right now though, unfortunately.
  2. @revolt No; are you looking into doing some?
  3. First shaving session for C tonight. No cuts; I consider that a success.
  4. Dave Z gave me this drink last night; what are you trying to say, Dave? :-) http://bit.ly/46CS8R
  5. @dancameron I think I was confused because I didn't realize that you were thinking G doing it was even an option. It would be illegal 4 them
  6. @dancameron OK, it's a bit clearer now. IMHO G will never do it (legal reasons), but it's open so *others* could; A couldn't hit G for that.
  7. @dancameron You said Google is scared, and you cited pressure/lawsuits from Apple, but Google would not be involved so it doesn't make sense
  8. @dancameron You should make a blog post to explain your position. Google would never be directly involved, so they have nothing to fear.
  9. @dancameron Also: they don't need to. They've already taken the best approach to enabling it w/out any risk to them: making an open system
  10. @dancameron So are you suggesting that Google would be involved somehow? IMHO they wouldn't touch that with a hundred foot pole.
  11. @dancameron Don't see how this would generate bad blood between Apple and Google; whoever does it wouldn't be affiliated with either of them
  12. @dancameron ... but not in a way that would expose them to any lawsuits, nor take away anything from them or their business model.
  13. @dancameron I guess I'm still missing the point; why would Google be scared? Their "product" is the software, and it would still be there
  14. @dancameron If it does happen, it will very likely be done by someone outside of the US who is difficult or impossible for Apple to go after
  15. @dancameron I wouldn't doubt Apple would try to sue over that, but they wouldn't be able to go after Google, since G would never be involved
  16. @dancameron re: Android on iPhone - Why would that scare Google? If someone were to do it, I'm sure Google would not be involved in any way.
  17. Step 2 in the new transportation plan (buying a scooter): check. Getting it delivered tomorrow.
  18. Car sold hassle-free within two hours of posting the craigslist ad; success!
  19. Got a bite on the craigslist ad for my car within about 15 minutes of posting it; I think that's a good sign!
  20. Weighing in on the latest (although not entirely "new") WP controversy http://bit.ly/42SSj2 @premiummod
