  18. @voidspace I don't run antivirus on my Windows boxes either - I find that frequent patches, knowledge, and prudence are sufficient.
  19. @voidspace I prefer UnxUtils over cygwin - native package and fewer hacks. Downside is it's unmaintained, old versions, and issues on Vista
