  1. @QualityFrog She's asking what to call it other than "data." Perhaps "discoveries" is a good word, too.
  2. @ShimmerGeek Sounds like we are alike in that way. My 20's I hated myself. My's 30's I learned to accept how I learn. My 40's I don't fret.
  3. @lanettecream You can say "what we learn from a test."
  4. @ShimmerGeek I bet there's more than several times you can cite when you were very energized and concentrated in your learning.
  5. @ShimmerGeek Then I glad I didn't tone it down, especially the first chapter, which offended some of my early reviewers. Dad loved it tho'.
  6. @lanettecream (that's one reason why I'm a good teacher... I have been through a lot of bad ideas...)
  7. @lanettecream Your bad ideas today make you a better teacher, tomorrow!
  8. @lanettecream Also, confidence can from from realizing that a bad idea, once identified, becomes a tool for teaching others.
  9. @michaelbolton @lanettecream I'm about to transpect with Michael about the same question I ask you. (transpection is a kind of dialog)
  10. @lanettecream One source of confidence is to practice working through ideas with your colleagues.
  11. @lanettecream From your blog, I can tell you are talented. I'm eager to help your talent blossom. One requirement for that is confidence.
  12. @ShimmerGeek Thank you!
  13. @lanettecream I feel better hearing that. Questioning you is, from me, a sign of respect. But I don't mean to push too hard.
  14. @lanettecream I want to help real testers, too, and when I seek clarity in myself and other testers, it's because that helps us avoid waste.
  15. @lanettecream Your post seems a bit defensive. I wasn't attacking you, I was trying to find out what you meant by what you said.
  16. @lanettecream Okay, fair enough. It would be fun to do an IM session on this, sometime. Skype me. (ID: satisfice)
  17. @lanettecream I can tell you my opinions of all this. But I'd really love to see you blog about it, first. I'm following your blog now.
  18. @lanettecream They throw around a lot of words without really thinking about them, it seems to me.
  19. @lanettecream That planning stuff is just propaganda. Ask yourself "what does planning MEAN?"
  20. @lanettecream IEEE is not a person we can cross-examine. It doesn't think anything. But for the record, it's totally wrong about planning!
