My house smells like caramel. Who needs scented oils when you can have apple pie instead?

@ That was exactly how I felt after fixing our snow blower. No, wait. That was my husband. But I still felt like a stud!

@ Glad your turkey was great! Brining is really the way to go. Love the science. I even brine chicken breasts so they stay moist.

@ Better that than if he said your fox was turkey. (It made more sense in my head the first time.)

@ Ooh. Just for that, I may have to import some water buffalo milk. Except, you might die from the creaminess. So scratch that.

@ I don't even KNOW the difference between Aggies and Longhorns. Do I get relegated to giving back rubs to the dish washers?

@ You're welcome. :) Just season the liquid well. 1 cup salt (or 2 cups kosher) per gallon of water. Then add whatever you like!

@ Just put the bird in cold water with sugar, salt, crushed garlic, pepper, and any other spices you want. It'll be fine!

@ No prob! I'm a dork and can't do it that way consistently. Or you can just do the posted method with no syrup and a bit less water

@ That's why I like making it individual sizes, for those random moments when the flan craving hits.

@ You can do it without corn syrup! Just dry sugar in a pan and don't mix. Heat until it turns into a dark syrup. My hubby can do it

Of course, by "actual age," I meant ... 27. No, that's not in hex either. Or maybe it is. Hmmm ... (Geek.)
