  1. @okonomiyonda OK *now* I know what you were talking about. SSE2 = puzzle, how to calc with the tiny subsets of possible ops we've given you.
  2. @skaslev Sexist!
  3. @bkaradzic Haven't done real gfx work since I have it, so I don't know how ATI's NVPerfHUD equivalent holds up.
  4. @bkaradzic Yep, it's fine. I've only run our own (DX9) games, and the Unigine DX11 benchmark. No problems so far.
  5. @bkaradzic I have a 5750 at the office, can I test something for you?
  6. @brokenpoly Yep, true. I'm watching average hours played per player: 1.3 for PC and 360 demo, 9 for 360 full. 1 hour == using as demo to me.
  7. Judging by the Tropico 3 stats on raptr.com, PC gamers don't bother with demos - they try games by "downloading" the full version.
  8. @rschu Nature imitates cheap CG!
  9. @BrianKaris Good observation; also, they can store intensity in R and the height of the nearest light center in G and still get away with 2D
  10. Resquit in pesci, in pesto, e in quattro formaggi http://bit.ly/4FvoqI
  11. Photos, with national costumes, of 56 nationalities (or something, don't start a war) living in China, http://bit.ly/4E6Seb
  12. @rogue_code Love Cynic, traveled almost 1000 km in 24h this summer, right before an deadline, to hear them and Dream Theater in Kavarna.
  13. @FieldsOfCarp Good! The budding conspiracy theorist in me thinks they brought out the East Antarctic ice melt today to take attention away.
  14. @TimothFarrar Now someone with the game and a PS3 should look for the characteristics bilinear filtering shapes...
  15. @drgast No, compare the distant parts where lighting matches exactly - there you can see the effect of the color/contrast settings.
  16. RT @bkaradzic: hectorchu got #golang running on win32: http://code.google.com/p/go... (Je me rends :)
  17. @whorus Really? I like it more.
  18. @TimothFarrar I was thinking 3D texture on PS3, classical "forward" lights nearby on 360.
  19. WRT "new email notification": it used to be interesting when there were moments in the day when I *didn't* have new mail.
  20. My theory: cheaper effect used in the distance on both and everywhere on PS3; something more "honest" on 360, but could handle few lights.
