  1. Haven't been blogging much, but the insectpoddery continues. I taught a coworker to catch flies--for his pet jumping spider, of course!
  2. InsectPOD webserver went BLEEEEE. :-( Hopefully back in a few days. I *told* you the server wasn't feeling well! Will update when it's back.
  3. Moved InsectPOD to a new server last week due to some performance problems; new server much worse. Apologies. Will fix. Stay tuned.
  4. First-ever use of the term "spider yack" in print, now showing at http://www.insectpod.com/
  5. So much for being on an even keel again with posting.... completely overwhelmed IRL right now.
  6. Slowly getting the site back onto an even keel. It's nice to get back into the old posting rhythm.
  7. Added donation and sharing buttons to the site. Still need to add Project Wonderful ads--Adsense isn't doing well at all.
  8. Just added "Next Episode" links at the end of each post in the Hopper Case Files. Makes re-reading the story from the beginning MUCH easier.
  9. Got Hopper out of the corner I painted him into, only to paint him into a worse one. Gotta cut a doorway in the wall now.
  10. Trying to un-paint G.R. Hopper from the corner I've painted him into. And you thought the cliffhangers were tense just for you!
  11. A barn spider has made her web above the bedroom/bathroom doorjamb. I suppose I should move her outside. I fed her a cricket instead today.
  12. Remember Aesop's Fable about the Ant and the Grasshopper? I'm buffering for winter, like the ant!
  13. Found a L. hesperis web outside the office door... with a male in it! He's sitting out at one edge, so I think it's his girlfriend's web.
  14. Found a male Latrodectus hesperis on the door of my office. Photographed him, then escorted outside. Definitely cured of arachnophobia.
  15. Scooped a tiny Steatoda triangulosa out of the tub today. Must be totally over my arachnophobia to handle spiders while completely nekkies.
  16. Spent the evening hunting bugs with Steve Jackson in Austin, TX. We had a rockin good time, and got about a dozen postable pix between us.
  17. Wrote 7 posts. Buffered through next Monday. Buffer status: 8
  18. Flying to Houston in 7 hours. Buffering posts like a mad little bug so I don't miss any updates while I'm traveling!
  19. Processed & uploaded all the images for the next 19 days. Too tired to write them all up tonight, though. Bleah. Writing tomorrow, then bed.
  20. Slotted OVER FORTY pictures! Slot buffer: 47. Yay! Written buffer: 0. Yeek!
