  1. My first ever lecture got TWO rounds of applause. Students are so sweet!
  2. I will get a class of my very own next semester after all. Plus my first real lecture is tomorrow!
  3. University wide induction only 2 months late and not too boring
  4. Frost on the ground for the first time: I declare winter.
  5. So Open University like me and find me 'appointable' but don't actually have a job for me.
  6. I _think_ students are getting enough out of their pretend to be disabled for a day exercise to justify the inherent ickiness
  7. What's the name of those little shiny glass things interior decorators put in vases and stuff?
  8. Back at grim flat (nearest thing to home) after an inspiring weekend with #Jeneration
  9. Heading out for weekend of text study w young, progressive Jews + a significant Queer contingent. Probably incommunicado until Sunday
  10. Managed to leave my diary at work; thankfully shiny phone can (with difficulty) retrieve all vital info from the ether.
  11. Behind the times, I know, but I'm really liking this thing where you command the internet to send you books and then they arrive!
  12. Really great meeting with the physio planning how we will teach spinal injury rehab.
  13. #having experimental potato dish, which worked out quite well - I think the smoked cheese makes it
  14. Somewhat tired & clumsy today, and workshop unsatisfying, but I ended up with a good haul from the library and a tasty supper.
  15. Don't think I've ever seen a rainstorm like this in England, almost scared to go out in it!
  16. Legs are sore and wobbly: whyyyy did you make us do exercise? Sorry muscles, the only solution is to keep practising until you're used to it
  17. Great weekend in Cambridge, first time ever dancing with Jack at ceilidh, plus got packing done for bringing stuff to Stoke
  18. Overheard the reason why lots of Little People are around today: they are an acting troupe heading to a panto of Snow White
  19. @song_in_heart most serious musicians hate Taize, it's ultra easy for people with no church music background. Great community + ideology tho
  20. Can't move on campus without being accosted by people selling cakes for Children in Need
