  1. @harrymccracken - I loved mine, small & portable when most other laptops were big, clunky. But maybe IBM heard too many cat hair complaints
  2. @harrymccracken - butterfly keyboards on IBM Thinkpads from mid 90s. Innovative, but didn't last more than a few years. I had one.
  3. @leaddog99 - I went, it was packed and noisy! A few interesting companies on display, including BuySellAds.com. #webinno
  4. Friend's comment on Vista: "It's more like a virus than an operating system!" He's downgrading to XP. #fail
  5. I went from a 2002-era BlackBerry Brick to a 2009 Curve. It is shockingly light.

  11. @KatherineLewis - Use TweetDeck, it has both features. Takes about 5-10 minutes to set up and configure.
  12. WBCN signing off. http://bit.ly/4yYU3 . Mostly good music since I tuned in starting 1979. What will happen to live concert vault?
  13. Could someone please stop the "Obama asks moms to return to school" ads, or the ad networks that run them? They're everywhere.
  14. Ajaxy stuff in Facebook and Yahoo Mail just crashed Chrome.
  15. A live firehose of Twitpics. Random snapshots into peoples' lives - totally addictive. Sometimes NSFW. http://www.pingwire.com/
  16. @carr2n - I've noticed more links, less discussion. Also noticed more flames, but I blame easier access to Trending Topics.
  17. @jlipnack - I took a walk there yesterday, too. There's another hidden area: the "flowed meadow" trail, SW of purgatory cove.
  18. Publishers still locked in 20th century monopoly mindset go on the anti-aggregator warpath in Europe. http://bit.ly/j6pYi
  19. AP's micropublishing standard: http://bit.ly/zBJhP . I'm suspicious of any AP effort to shape online media after Drudge incident
