  1. Win2003R2/2008R2 VMs under ESXi 4U1 had odd network problems. Trying ESXi 3.5U5.
  2. Got ESX4.0U1 running fully on Friday. Started building out the VMs. Very sweet...now just waiting for 2nd NIC.
  3. Everywhere I go the world's worst drivers follow me! In Maryland a left turn only lane means you can go straight too! -- NOT!
  4. Built an ESXi 4.0 USB install disk. Boots great - supports Realtek interface - now to tweek the final install and my 4.0 box is ready.

  9. Closer to getting VMware ESXi 4U1 running -- got the storage controller working...now just need to get the NIC card working and I'm done!
  10. Trying out Server 2008 R2 Hyper-V - new system has Athlon II X4 630 CPU - AMD says it has AMD-V -- but not compatible with Hyper-V!
  11. ESX3.5U4 doesn't recognize storage device. Looks like it'll be a little while longer before I have this up and running.
  12. Hit snag in ESXi install. ESXi 4U1 does not support RTL gigabit adaptor or Intel 10/100 adaptor. Need to buy a Broadcom NetXtreme card.
  13. Built my new VM machine -- AMD Quad-Core Athlon II, 8GB memory, Gigabyte MB, Seasonic PS, SATA...now to install ESXi on it :-)
