Channel 2 closing down live coverage from Nome. Too bad. Jeff King will arrive in the next 30 minutes or so.
Analyst just made Lance Armstrong / Lance Mackey comparison. Interesting, but a bit of a stretch.
Mackey is now recounting the head games played between he and Jeff King on the trail.
Jeff King is now about 7 miles out from the finish line. Should finish around 4:15 a.m. local time.
Mackey admits he thought about flying home rather than finishing this year, due to dog troubles. He's "damn glad" he didn't do that.

Mackey's dogs are kissing him at the finish line as he talks about who deserves the lead dog award.
Lance Mackey won the truck last year, too -- then gave it to his wife. This year he's keeping the truck for himself!
Mackey just accepted the $69,000 check for winning the race. Now comes the brand new Dodge pickup truck.
