  1. @bknudtson Thanks for a great couple days of VMWare setup. We'll look forward to working with you again some day.
  2. Seriously... the clones would *destroy* the ewoks. #returnofthejedi
  3. @MikeDJohnson That's a great selection of reading material.
  4. I guess all I'm saying is that for $1500 I expect a little more spit and polish, especially when Ubuntu is looking so slick. #redhat
  5. @robinprice Sure, you can configure a base install, I just think it should be base by default.
  6. @robinprice yep, we are going 64 bit. I wish there was a "minimal install" option that only installed what was needed to boot, shell, and ip
  7. @robinprice and **another** thing, PAE kernel supports up to 16Gig of RAM (right?) hugemem kernel supports at least up to 32Gig.
  8. So, everyone who is building server install images, (Red Hat), news alert! I'm not installing the Server on my desktop, so no need for a GUI
  9. @robinprice and *another* thing, why in the world would I want Games to be selected by default during the install of an "Enterprise Server"
  10. @robinprice and another thing, the text based installer is broken, I saw no option for LVM on the custom partitioning, missing options?
  11. @robinprice I guess I'm looking for an equivalent to YaST or smitty, yes, I know that useradd and lvextend etc. work, but still, gui tools?
  12. @dreamhost aaaannnddd... it's back... belay my last.
  13. @dreamhost down again? I can't get to my site...
  14. My PC at work just died. Not BSOD, no error, just up and died and rebooted itself.
  15. So many changes in RHEL 5 that I don't like. Depreciation or elimination of command line tools, text installer is crippled, no hugemem
  16. So, no hughmem kernel for 32bit Redhat... huh, I didn't know that... another win for SLES I guess.
  17. I'm getting no love from redhat right now... No love at all.
  18. @daniAWESOME Heck yea, Moose Drool is great, reminds me of home.
  19. Dear websphere-db2, if you are not going to failover right, don't do it at all. Ur cluster is teh suck.
  20. Installing ESX on some new blades
