  1. Anyone know of a good quality, relatively cheap tape deck (only needs one player) with RCA out? Current deck is freaking out :/
  2. Got a longish driveway like some friends up the road do? That'll be $2,000 to get TWC service, thank you very much. Lame.
  3. Just added reviews for DEN and SAT to http://atlarge.com, which is looking a little bare at the moment but has a good concept.
  4. RT @CaliLewis: Google's giving even more this season by adding more airports to the "free WiFi" gift - http://bit.ly/6j2xy1
  5. Just did an A/B/C test w/AT&T (feeling poorly tonight), CricKet (can't get signal worth a crap) and Sprint (low-jitter medium-speed) for MBB
  6. Still reading @freepress's tome to the FCC. Apparently they didn't hire a copy-editor :/
  7. RT @FunnyJoker: Want to stop that annoying nerd going on about how great his Iphone is? There's a slap for that!
  8. @powerspec Folks on Telus and Bell's new Canadian HSPA+ networks are pulling down 10-12 Mbps down and 1-2 Mbps up. That's decent.
  9. @mattguthmiller I'll believe it when it's deployed in my area AND has faster speeds than 12/2, which HSPA+ will provide without a problem.
  10. @phonegeek You sure? Seems a bit spendy and far-flung for that. $7.8M on TX, PA, NM, GA and FL! More than CenTex in their areas...
  11. Looking through @fcc Auction 73. Who the heck is David Miller, and who in tarnation is Frontier Wireless? More importantly, what do they do?
  12. Okay, so @TMobile_USA doesn't have gobs and gobs of AWS spectrum. But they DO have 20-30 MHz in Texas, depending on the city. Not half bad.
  13. RT @voidspace: "Why doesn't C++ have a garbage collector? Because there would be nothing left!"
  14. Hmm, as much as I like WiMAX it appears as though HSPA+ can do 21.6/5.76 per cell on 10MHz and 28.8/11.52 with bleeding-edge equipment now.
  15. Just talked with [REDACTED] from @verizon. We're making progress. Crossing my fingers hoping the bits can flow down one loooong copper pair.
  16. RT @newegghotdeals Black Friday Sneak Peek! AVG Internet Security 2YR/3U 9.0 Free *Starts 3PM PST Wednesday, 11/25 #newegg
  17. @freepress Also dynamic DNS/DHCP allows for better use of relatively scarce IPv4 addresses. Don't get me wrong, I like fast broadband but...
  18. @freepress Read the footnote just now about 3G/fixed wireless. Agree and disagree about categorization there. Will write a post about it l8r
  19. @freepress Reading ur FCC submission. Some stuff is a little bit of a stretch. You can get 768/200 sat anywhere. It's just expensive/capped.
  20. Reading http://fjallfoss.fcc.gov/ec... while installing WIn7 on one of my brothers' computers.
