  1. @jb No; this is a request that's on my radar, though, and there's a comm-based workaround if you want to try it: http://tr.im/Ih5P
  2. Hooray! Airport Extreme hooked up and working away. Not so hooray: it makes disk I/O sounds. What the heck? This ain't no time capsule!
  3. I'm always sad when Bone goes back to Boneville. Though I honestly don't know what I'd choose: love, magic, and loneliness? Or mundanity?
  4. Wow. Just, wow. Avatar. Go see it.
  5. @matro I really want to see it today; it looks awesome.
  6. @abrahaap That's hilarious. What did he think was going to happen when he trained monkeys to fight?
  7. @matro Ah, gotcha. Yeah, there would need to be some low-level conceptual design before you could really get rolling.
  8. @sarahmcm That would be brilliant.
  9. @matro That's awesome.
  10. @sarahmcm Agreed; being able to import from other services would be pretty key to converting people, I suspect.
  11. @matro Heck, a lot of it you could do with simple RSS, maybe with some custom extensions.
  12. @sarahmcm And of course migrating to self-hosted would be easy from the hosted version, and offer more flexibility.
  13. @sarahmcm Yes, and you could potentially do a WordPress.com style thing where you offer a paid hosted version for non-tech savvy folks.
  14. @sarahmcm Yeah, there'd need to be some sort of central server/directory to make it easy to find people. Otherwise custom per install.
  15. @sarahmcm Social network as distributed network with customizability on a per-server basis is a really interesting idea.
  16. @SubtleGradient Yeah, just have to remember to keep build numbers updated across all projects and their various template files. Blech.
  17. @sarahmcm Entirely agreed. The apps are the reason I stopped even somewhat using Facebook.
  18. Nice! The Heroes of Might and Magic games are 50% off over at Good Old Games! (Too bad I already own them all.) http://tr.im/HZFG
  19. @SubtleGradient Yeah, might need to go that route. Just wish they would learn. :-)
  20. Googled "Kymwana tiddy winkles" (name of hedgehog breeder). Got an ad for "Prevent Cleavage Wrinkles". Fishing for misspelled keywords, eh?
