  9. Bacon-wrapped chicken nestled in rugosa squash & creamed spinach/radish greens gratin is the way to go. Nestling was the missing linchpin.
  10. Next Mystery Box sprint begins in two hours. Up first tonight is likely orecchiette with rapini, sausage, and garlic bread crumbs.
  11. @jonlabo 1st idea was to make barley (none in pantry). Randomly had q, only 2nd time using it ever. Been wanting to exp more w/the superfood
  12. Almost time for pork and rugosa squash stew! Aromas have been making my stomach growl for the last two hours. Will have with quinoa pilaf.
  13. Simmering on the stove: Spicy pepper soup with yellow bells, red gypsies, fresh cayennes. Fingertips are burning from the cayennes, ouch!
  14. Prepped bunches of collard greens & erbette chard for upcoming projects; now mincing basil & grating/squeeze-drying assorted summer squashes
  15. Creamed zucchini w/basil is done and holding; now onto the chicken Scarpariello and mashed potatoes. But first, a cocktail....
  16. Soooo much basil! Like, 11 or 12 large bundles - an overflowing shoulder bag's worth. What was I thinking?? (pesto for the winter, i guess)
  17. @ijcd: Actually more like 14 years. I really think they might not make 'em like they used to (i.e., NO TIMER aka "anti-retard mechanism").
  18. Fusion soup - Corn, ancho & cilantro base w/ mini chix cilantro wontons from TJ's thrown in. No fuss, since i made the base a month ago, yay
