  1. At the point of no return. The time in Chicago is now 123456789. Big moment comes at 12:34:56 on 7/08/09. Only happens twice in 100 yrs.
  2. Trivia: The Sears Tower is as tall as 283 Barack Obamas - according to the fun factoids outside the elevator. Kinda puts Godzilla to shame.
  3. Standing on the "Ledge" of the world at the Willis/Sears Tower. Of course there is someone standing next to me jumping up and down.
  4. How did Michael Jackson end up owing the publishing rights to much of The Beatles catalogue? Allen Klein. Ironic he dies the same week as MJ
  5. RT @johnperrybarlow @mkapor Allen Klein dead at last! Only 40 yrs too late. There's a corollary to Only the Good Die Young. -- Amen to that.
  6. At our usual spot on the Chicago waterfront waiting for the July 4th fireworks. Some more alcohol would be nice as well.
  7. Palin's resignation decision makes little sense. I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop. Hearing her speak always makes me slap my head.
  8. RT @jameschutter RIP CompuServe. My first email address:( -- Mine too! I'm shocked that compuserve.com appears to be "powered by Netscape"
  9. @mrdigby The long lines down the street yesterday would indicate otherwise. But I understand the underlying sarcasm. Grrh!
  10. Enjoying my second day off this week. I sure wish the weather was cooperating.
  11. RIP AvantGo for the Palm OS. Before the wireless Mobile Web this was *the* app to use if you wanted to read offline. I still used it.
  12. Eagerly awaiting the opening of "The Ledge" at Willis/Sears Tower. Next week I plan to step out, but only if no young kids around.
  13. Thanks to everyone for birthday greetings! Looking forward to what the rest of the day brings.
  14. Note to self, aka Lobster Boy: Don't fall asleep on the beach on a hot day. I blame Mel Gibson who kept me awake into the small hours.
  15. Our small local park has reopened after many yrs. Thoughtfully the city paved most of it with concrete - the grass & trees an afterthought.
  16. RT @johndcook "Don't ever, ever plan a back-up strategy. Plan a restore strategy." -- Paul Randal http://bit.ly/R7WZE - Too true! #techtip
  17. RT @The_real_shaq i wanna play this guy n horse for a thousand dollars, find him pls http://bit.ly/CK5nk - Amazing hoop moves!
  18. Hugh Laurie once interviewed Michael Jackson. Thanks to the BBC YouTube archive: http://bit.ly/rnKjH
  19. As the Michael Jackson rumours unfolded an hr ago, the related Twitter search results were exponentially increasing by 1000's per second.
  20. "hiking the Appalachian trail" is the new code for having an affair. The innuendo lexicon grows ever larger. Thanks Guvnor! #sanford
