  1. A bit more on LizardTech/libLAS http://tinyurl.com/lpppmj
  2. Thank you LizardTech for your support of libLAS. I hope your new software does well with it http://tinyurl.com/m9669t .
  3. @adenas Could you credit folks for your #ESRIUC contest so we can follow other content from them? http://tinyurl.com/ldf5sv
  4. @adrianholovaty nice. Bummer about the GPL3 when a lot of EB's foundation is not of that licensing lineage. No licensing flexibility?
  5. Madoff's 150 years: the difference between stealing from the rich instead of the poor.
  6. @sgillies I think that depends on the project. MapGuide ~= cathedral-style, FDO == down and dirty open source.
  7. @mloskot My concern was GDAL's ESRI interaction in the past has been the "throw a giant patch of lots of stuff over the wall" approach.
  8. @mloskot My point in that discussion is I'm all for ESRI participating in GDAL so long as though they aren't any sort of special citizen.
  9. Anyone know of a (for pay, even) good nationwide political townships layer with township/incorporation names?
  10. @mloskot Nor did MapServer ever claim it was threadsafe. Did Rob from IBM make it threadsafe?!?
  11. @mloskot I hope he was giving you the sponsorship shakedown :)
  12. Why didn't anyone tell me about MGMT?
  13. Ugh, my dentist has ads for cosmetic dentistry on their ceiling. Can't I get just a little peace in my moment of misery?
  14. @mpdaly That looks like a rather simple client. OGR can do all that GeoJSON + OCI stuff, thanks to @mloskot :)
  15. A huge downfall of URL shorterners -- I've started to get shortened phishing URLs so you can't see where they really go
  16. resurrected pyTerra on bitbucket for a project http://bitbucket.org/hobu/p...
  17. BING - But It's Not Google: http://bit.ly/Y5Xgz
  18. congrats on the new baby @pwilkebrown ! Mine halved my productivity, quartered my intelligence, and tripled the fun.
  19. @mloskot Firmly in the proprietary camp now?
  20. Dear Lazyweb: Is there any way to do enterprise'y Virtual Earth and pull their imagery as WMS into your own apps?
