  17. Well, I found this video: http://tr.im/qt8Q to take apart the LCD casing. Am I brave/desperate enough to try THAT trick at home?
  18. @samerfarha thanks for the iFixIt idea, though- it certainly worked for switching out the dead hard drive on Monday, so it was a good lead.
  19. @jmbaute Pressing along the sides of the frame definitely "fixes" it, so I'm guessing the frame is bent just slightly so that makes sense.
  20. @samerfarha Yeah thank you, it has the replacement instructions for the whole assembly (that $800 part) but not to take THAT part apart.
