  1. Skype Dental session is going well! VBTV is getting footage for Access Va. Beach. It will be on Channel 47/48 in the coming weeks.
  2. @MommysLosinIt Wuthering Heights is GREAT! But that is coming from an English major. ;)
  3. @abdoss no kidding! I was in bed before 9:30 last night!
  4. Skyping today from dental lab to media center so Dental Assisting students who aren't involved in procedure with dentist can observe. Fun!
  5. @pe that would work if students were allowed to have cell phones in class here. sorry!
  6. Just activated our TurningPoint system and now exploring. Anyone else use this? Working on ideas to sell the teachers on using it here.
  7. @LAlconcel I've been having troubles with IE7 freezing up all week-- it doesn't matter what I am doing.
  8. vbtweets-- can we embed HTML in our SharePoint sites-- like a glog or Voki, etc? I swear I did it before, but now can't find it!
  9. just had another parent question why Tech Center grades are not active in SchoolNet like home school grades. Hope that gets resolved soon.
  10. working on a wiki for ways technology can be used at a technical school. Interesting to put all of our ideas and practices into one place!

  13. just sold my principal on using @Glogster to put out his next newsletter instead of sending an email! so cool!
  14. intrigued watching the Welding tchr talk to his kids about WWI as "this day in history" activity. Heartwarming to watch him get them think

  16. going thru discovery streaming videos and organizing them for each program in the building. Such a great tool!
  17. @sericfisher It's really easy, so even ES kids would run with it. And you can import and blend maps, which makes it nice for group projects.
  18. Thinking of grouping students to use Timeliner to organize Am. Rev. info and then using that to put info on Google Map using Scribblemaps

  20. looking at Google Earth for a potential ESL American Revolution lesson next week... any good ideas? Haven't done much with the program yet!
