  9. @jkumaranc Yes. This is a good topic to blog. I've not blogged for over an year. I've been using Twitter for the past year. Coincidence?
  10. @damithc That was my initial thought, but some books use the words "external to the system" when referring to actors.
  11. @jkumaranc When doing effort/cost estimations, it's not ideal to have requirements scattered in use cases and other diagrams.
  12. @jkumaranc Depends. When u define scope of a project using use cases, ideally all functional requirements should be captured there.
  13. @jkumaranc Now I'm leaning toward showing Actor as the person whose goal is being satisfied, but show the trigger (e.g new day) separately.
  14. @jkumaranc The issue is how to define a use case where use case is not an action performed by the actor.
  15. Working outside under the evening sky, thanks to the wireless network.
  16. @jkumaranc I guess I can use System as an actor for internal activity triggered by time events.
  17. Did not go through email for a day, and now inbox has 246 emails.
  18. Can there be a use case without an actor? What if it's triggered by a time event? (e.g. reaching a deadline)
