@riaglo the NYT googled up something similar (that is now gone), which was the source of the allegations made so far...which went nowhere

@riaglo not that i've seen, it showed up on /. a few hours ago. the IOC already accepted the passports made by the chinese govt this year
china failed to scrub all references to her true age, due to search engine caches. i doubt IOC has the balls to take back her medals though?

@kejadlen i'm not saying it is requisite, and i don't want it to become so...there are other topics that writers should feel free to explore
@psyfe how much SF published after '95 have you read? more a problem for writers than readers i guess, though it is getting stale for me
@kejadlen IMO: as a quasireligion it's silly, as a SF idea it ranges from fine to great, but as a requisite plot element for all SF it's bad
@kiimu pretzel day?
article about how the Singularity is annoying for SF writers. i strongly agree: http://tinyurl.com/6c3pn5 "the Rapture for nerds" lol
thought-provoking article about impulsive suicide: http://tinyurl.com/5e93wb too bad they just voted down a barrier on the GG bridge...
