  1. At meeting, they ran out of folders, and are bringing in more chairs for this very well-attended event. Good buzz, anyone?
  2. No street parking anywhere near culinary institute? People driving in circles. But huge empty lot next to it, closed off. Fail.
  3. Anyone heading to POCD meeting, the culinary institute lot is full. Tonight's topic (downtown) must be popular.
  4. @gideonstrumpet nothing to see here.
  5. @sujal others call him "Mr. Strumpet" just to get on his nerves (n.b.)
  6. @JamesPlankton you are not alone.
  7. @juliablue the metro region is the city. Burgess's model is outdated as well... our factories aren't next to the CBD anymore
  8. @juliablue in Burgess model of a city, "inner city" is in concentric ring outside the CBD http://bit.ly/7rwQyl
  9. @juliablue it's a euphemism and not a technical term, in my experience. Read: poor, less educated folks, more crime.
  10. @CouncilorCotto not at all, just ...you know, why can't we all just get along, really. (Wasn't sure whether "talks" will really happen)
  11. @JoshMichtom in fact, that is a favorite hobby of mine http://search.twitter.com/search?q=garbage+truck
  12. @realhartford if I could follow you 10x for discussing just those things, I would. Same w @KateRothwell and garbage trucks
  13. @CouncilorCotto guess I'm not sure what you really meant then, but it's okay. Will go back under a rock on this subject.
  14. @CouncilorCotto such a contentious issue, I'm sure the talks up to March will be worthwhile, not a waste.
  15. @CouncilorCotto yes, I understand what you're saying. Issue has been fraught with excessive emotion and labeling others
  16. @realhartford not suggested? We didn't see the entire list suggested by the one person, so don't know all of her ideas.
  17. @CouncilorCotto I also appreciate him engaging, I'm just sorry he got the response he did. But trying is admirable.
  18. @realhartford well, some of the neighbors would probably go ballistic. Site isn't as central as others. And might fail code? Dunno.
  19. @realhartford were you seriously suggesting it or just tongue in cheek? I think it's a really interesting idea...
  20. @JoshMichtom and he did get a chance to air opinions. He got his meeting, and media attention. "So what, now what" moment.
