  1. Applying for jobs because you never know when the rug will be pulled out from under you.
  2. very sleepy with a squeaky schnauzer. Have my stack of new kid books and I'm going to read and play with schnauzers and fall asleep.

  5. Diesel desperately trying to knock the leftover White Castle bag (with burger inside) off the table. Poor burger deprived dog!
  6. trying to figure out what my life looks like without Lothar.
  7. is muddling through a very quiet weekend. Even the sound of fireworks can't penetrate my grief.
  8. Diesel is recovering from his annual Fourth of July terror. He is petrified of fireworks.
  9. is bereft.
  10. no one emails me when Lothar isn't around! Somehow, I suspected that I was contributing to my diminishing social circle. :(
  11. will be at the library today, as usual.
  12. looking to rent a house in Ferndale. We have to be out of our house at the end of August. Need 2 car garage and fenced in backyard.
  13. waiting for Boy George to fall over dead.
  14. Despite heat and humidity at 8:00 a.m., I am striving to remain cheerful.
  15. bringing bocci ball set to work today. Anyone want to practice?

  17. Diesel thinks an empty water bottle is the best toy!
  18. Critter got an old bug zapper from the 80s! It sounds lethal--I mean like small dog lethal! Brizo, stay away from the bug zapper!
  19. Deez and Brizo find a small snapping turtle in the street. I pick it up and carry it to the water's edge. It leaps into the water-swims away
  20. Diesel has been dreaming of cheeseburgers all night. This morning he wakes up and attacks the empty Wendy's bag we left on the table.
