  1. Just made a batch of Parkin. However, it seems the good people of Cornwall don't know what Parkin is!!! It's a 'Northern' thing.

  4. Forgotten how good porridge can be (or never knew?). Try it with oat, rice or soy milk. Top with muscovado sugar and fresh nutmeg, Yum!!
  5. Having reflected on the best fish, I have decided that naturally smoked Scottish smoked haddock is the king of the waves!!!!
  6. Tin foil is shiny on one side only as this is the side that you have on the inside of whatever your wrapping to keep the heat reflected in.
  7. Just got hold of some Beluga Lentils.......... these little bad boys rock!!! If such a thing can be said about a lentil that is!!!

  12. Actually found an Indian restaurant that has a real tandoor oven in the U.S. !!!! I'm so glad to be able to have a real 'ruby' over here!!
