  1. On the other hand, the relief and elation at having found a midwife we like and who likes us is immense. #hapu
  2. Feel a bit better after sharing my no-puppy blues with Ashburton Jay. Was looking forward to a visit to Evie from her b&t NT Mr. Darcy.
  3. We have a midwife: yay! Progesterone blood tests show it is too late to mate Evie: boo! Apparently it is babies or puppies but not both.
  4. @badtom What are you insinuating (in case it makes no sense, that's my last name :) ) ?
  5. @hungrymama Yeah; it felt not dissimilar to a whole lot of dogs jumping on the couch!
  6. Ah, so twitter suggests that strange floating feeling I just experienced was an #earthquake.
  7. @robyngallagher I've been cutting back on plugins a lot lately, along with giving up booze, cheese and sushi.
  8. Questions asked in tutorial today: What's next? (read the course outline) Do you choose the films? (Yep) Can we watch the Godfather? (nope)
  9. It strikes me that auto-tune the news is something one either loves or to which one is indifferent. Have failed to enthuse my colleagues.
  10. Interviewed by a journalist in my unionista capacity earlier today. Should have asked him to mention I was using my smooth phone voice.
  11. Just occurred to me that the celebrant, the midwife to whom I talked today and my MIL all have the same name, which is the EL version o'mine
  12. @dubh Thinking such shows probably need a warning for the sentimental and the pregnant!
  13. @hungrymama Heh heh, and she is a carbon copy of her mum by the looks of things.
  14. @johubris Hmmm, on some sort of pyre, I'd say.
  15. Am finding the Christian virgins on Hitched really rather sweet.
  16. @Ghetsuhm I also recommend Bill Bailey's cockney version of that work (from about 3mins in) http://bit.ly/s6Nyv
  17. Have found a wedding celebrant. Her NT Oskar is Millie's litter brother (this I already knew). A pleasingly small world.
  18. This afternoon @knedd and I interview midwife #1 and on Thurs midwife #2. Must ask about how they feel doing home visits when home = 5 dogs
  19. Lectured for 3 1/2 hours this morning across two courses. Am now inert.
  20. @Ghetsuhm I am of the "rather know than not know" school, and also of the "there may not be anything to know" college. Bonne chance!
