@ Oh yes. The problem may be that Windows Installer 5 comes with Win7, and 4.5 won't go on.

@ I tried installing it on an XP VM last night, but the command prompt popped up saying there wasn't enough memory. I gave it 2GB.

Can't install SqlSever 2008 on Win7, so created XP VM, and can't install it in that either. Harumph.
