  1. @schingler @jessykate Take notes if you can, and post the winners!
  2. @schingler @nikhilac Happy birthday to you both!
  3. Neat! When you create MyMaps with Google Maps, you can now view them in 3D in Google Earth on the iPhone! http://bit.ly/2VRKxe
  4. Whew! Fantastic whirlwind weekend with an amazing collection of Googlers. Head spinning. (But sad I had to miss RHoK0!)
  5. @Toddicus What are the awards for? I'm assuming not for hacks done at #rhok0, since it's only half-way through?
  6. @jf Thanks for the ride home!
  7. Google at night. (Which descends rather early now I must say!) (Also, I get wifi up here! Crazy!) http://twitpic.com/oy4yj
  8. @igorkofman Yeah, but that's a total hack. It just works around the problem (noisily) rather than really solving it.
  9. Finding self growing tired of 140char limit lately. Some things need more chars but not worth entire out-of-band blog post. What do U do?
  10. @dkorsmeyer I've met far too many bureaucrats who I wish had read pages 5–7 and especially pages 8 & 9. “This Isn’t a “Field of Dreams”’!
  11. @dkorsmeyer “two good ideas glued together” is also fair criticism: I could have done w/o a lot of the failure cycle chatter early on.
  12. @dkorsmeyer Does he ever really argue sufficiency? I read him as stridently arguing necessity.
  13. @dkorsmeyer Oversimplified, sure. I do think it offers good advice (perhaps obvious to us) on how to approach collab tools when appropriate.
  14. @jf Part of NSA's interest is protecting the U.S. private sector. They'd have found a way to steer us away from factorization-based crypto.
  15. Just double-checking that everyone interested in collaborative tools in govt. etc. has read Breaking the Failure Cycle: http://bit.ly/aFbaC
  16. Attempting to reclaim the kitchen fridge from the forces of darkness in preparation for the winter cooking season.
  17. @marsgirl Welcome back!
  18. @caryrosko I'm sad you couldn't come too! Sobering up a bit still, heading home soon. The day ran longer than I'd expected, as expected....
  19. Bringing home 28 lovely bottles of wine. That should keep me sated for a while.... Capping off the day with dinner at Dry Creek Kitchen.
  20. Final stop, Arista. Some unexpectedly delightful super-dry Gewürztraminer. Walking it off now.... http://twitpic.com/nxzu6
