  1. Most sessions at AgileRoots seem to be about the parts that can't be easily duplicated. Interesting considering it's #AgileRoots
  2. http://twitpic.com/4o7or - kgj27ejgbfhwhgofjfgugjf
  3. @webops That's crazy! I remember when the US was 2 trillion dollars in debt. We just made 1/2 of that out of thin air.
  4. "If you want good things to grow in your life (or team), you have to plant them." John Bytheway
  5. Doing Agile 2009 session reviews. Wishing I could present this year.
  6. Waiting for Kay and Jeff, hoping we have enough time to navigate that huge airport.
  7. Only three people out of the conference are doing all of the XP practices. Wow!
  8. @utahkay Hooray for Kenji!
  9. "Uncle" Bob Martin - "A [good] metric for code review = # of WTFs / minute". We read code more than we write it. Let's write readable code!
  10. "Uncle" Bob Martin - "Let's be professionals [like doctors or lawyers]". Doctors always wash their hands and never freak out.
  11. "Uncle Bob" Martin - "To have speed you must go well" (or something to that effect). It's all about technique and not cutting corners.
  12. Feeling much better now that we are done our presentation. Now I can enjoy the rest of the conference.
  13. Went to a session on Agile Metrics. In a nutshell, metrics are all derived from user stories. I can live with that.
  14. CTO Agile users group is agilecto@yahoogroups.com
  15. The theme in the CTO presentation seems to be about the CTOs focusing on building teams that work together well (Agile teams)
  16. The other CTO said he only measured open p1 bugs.
  17. 2 of 3 CTOs who adopted Agile said measuring metrics was not useful. More important was fostering a good team that spoke up.
  18. Nice presentation from Jeff Patton. Somewhat validating since I did a project like that recently ;-)
  19. Just got out of the TDD clinic. I was disappointed. Was looking for more close mentoring and more structure.
  20. Infinitest is cool. I think it will save me a ton of time
