  1. We're somewhere in penn. everyone is quieter now then on the way here. thats probably because we're exhausted! most have hardly slept
  2. All in all it was an exhilerating trip and a fantastic experience despite the cold, crowds and minor bumps in the road
  3. Some of our fellow travelers had a hard time making it back to the bus after the metro broke down and left them stranded there for 2 hours
  4. We're back on the bus and headed home after a very long day.
  5. So many streets are blocked
  6. Everyone has maps out and no one knows where to go. it's chaotic
  7. Its freezing but at least we get to look at the smithsonian and deptartment of agriculture longer
  8. We're at a standstill now and we're not on the parade route. no one knows why we've stopped.
  9. Now the hard part will be getting out. we're inching down 12 street surrounded by thousands. we think we may be blocked by the parade route
  10. The mall is clearing out fast. you can already see its full of debris. people are packing onto nearby museum steps
  11. Obama just finished his speech that several times drew cheers and applause from the crowd
  12. Barack obama is now officially our 44th president
  13. Vp joe biden is taking the oath of office
  14. The inauguration is about to start. everyone is chanting 'obama' cheering and waving flags
  15. All the government big shots are taking their seats. even they look cold. they snap pictures and take video on the way to their seats too
  16. The parade route is already full and was just closed off.
  17. At least the crowd is helping us stay warm. vp-elect joe biden is speaking now
  18. We finally made it to the mall and chose a spot, snuggled shoulder to shoulder with everyone in front of a megatron.
  19. L'enfant plaza station is bursting at the seams. those standing near us are from all over the country
  20. People are flooding toward the station exit from all directions. many are snapping pictures of the crowds
