  1. Back from first two weeks of basic army training. Much more interesting than I expected. http://bit.ly/8mm6XW
  2. I am going to the army. Wish me luck.
  3. @dskolovos As pictures. In general, I can hardly see any other use for UML other than post-mortem documentation.
  4. @dskolovos In all projects I 've worked in, we mostly used sequence diagrams.
  5. More code in a premium car than on my laptop. I don't want to think what would happen if it was just as unreliable. http://bit.ly/25C46C
  6. @sla @louridas @ioannis_sam @yk2805 Thanks for the suggestions! Looks like I' ll be busy packing for at least 2 days...
  7. Preparing to go to the army, my packing list: http://twitpic.com/o013t Recommendations welcome.
  8. Played with Ovi. Needs work on the mobile side, but is on the right path. Obviously Nokia is not afraid of Apple, they are afraid of Google
  9. Uploaded my PhD thesis, along with software and data: http://tinyurl.com/ygmr3ns Feels like the end of an era :-)
  10. from @DSpinellis: http://bit.ly/1LgnEV If "Technical Communications" was a course, lots of wasted hours would have been saved every year GG
  11. Running on Win7 the last 2 weeks. I still prefer OS X, but Apple should work harder that they got used to the last 3 years to stay on top.
  12. Going to the Qt Developer Days conference. Big day for my future plans.
  13. RT from @MikeArthur: how safe is the HPV vaccine? Check this visualisation to see: http://is.gd/4gSOJ
  14. Last night in Berlin. wurst? check. bratkartoffel? check. mojito? check. stuff packed? not yet :-/
  15. Even after 800km on the bike, Berlin doesn't get boring. Too many nice places to see. Today, it was Viktoriapark.
  16. (Re?)Discovering the Smashing Pumpkins. Certainly one of the bands I should have given more attention to.
  17. Doing investment calculations. Hacking with a spreadsheet.
  18. @DSpinellis From my experience, git is very good for local version tracking. Still looking for advantages over centralised VCS thought.
  19. @DSpinellis At least IP is the least common denominator for all those stacks. It can be tunneled over most of them.
  20. @herraiz If I want to implement something new, I just do it with SVN. If I fail, I rollback. Why bother to branch and merge?
