  1. @Hypersteve Hey back! I haven't been tweeting much lately, but great to meet you too!
  2. @tim_hutchings Thanks! I was surprised! Over 7000 entries!
  3. @sarahebourne I'm in the same boat. When I can, when it seems merited, I do buy paper copies too & use my Kindle for e-docs and some books.
  4. @sarahebourne Thanks so much, Sarah!
  5. My sci-fi story "Antiques" made it into the finals for NPR's Three Minute Fiction contest! npr.org/2012/04/12/150…
  6. Happy birthday, Buddha bunny! twitter.com/godwired/statu…
  7. BuddhaEasterPassoverBunny arrived from the Land of the Ancestors! Hallelujah! Om Mani Padme Om! Next year in Jerusalem! twitter.com/godwired/statu…
  8. @danwhitehodge Thank YOU. You added so much to our discussion. I especially liked how you linked sci-fi with social critique.
  9. @NyashaJunior @danwhitehodge Indeed, she does. Octavia Butler is amazing.
  10. @NyashaJunior @danwhitehodge . . . and (both) can do so in ways that challenge us to examine existing power structures critically.
  11. @NyashaJunior @danwhitehodge Would have loved to have you too! So interesting. Dan talked @ how sci-fi and theology both ask "what if". . .
  12. @danwhitehodge skyped into my class tonight to talk about religion, race and sci-fi. It was awesome. So good. Thanks, Dan!
  13. @tim_hutchings Oh, yes. I agree typologies are helpful. My method is mostly to compile others' definitions and see what comes up shared.
  14. @tim_hutchings Sure. And the paper I'm writing now is about the distinctions too. But we won't get far if we insist on a single definition.
  15. @tim_hutchings But also, perhaps "do not kill" as a rule is more akin to "do not cheat."
  16. @tim_hutchings I suppose so. I'm wary of too much definitional precision, tho perhaps I shouldn't be. I'm more interested in resonances.
