  1. My copy of Dave Klein's GQuick just arrived from the US. Looks like a ripper! Thanks @daveklein for the shout-out!
  2. New blog: After learning about svnsync, my google code projects are now converted to Mercurial :-) -- http://tinyurl.com/yj735sd
  3. @jadelus The difference? Documentation and decent IDE tooling for starters :-) Works through the client's firewall is #3. Otherwise nothing.
  4. @jeffscottbrown 40 is the new 20 dude. That means you can't even have a beer in some US states, right?
  5. @jadelus I do know that I find hg commandset easier to use than git.. but YMMV.
  6. @jadelus I think the right comparison would be bitbucket.org vs github.com... but I haven't had a chance to play with bitbucket yet.
  7. Converting my googlecode projects over to Mercurial. But hg convert is taking quite some time on remote repos. groovyblogs.hg coming soon!
  8. After being inspired by a great CJUG REST talk last week, I'm now reading: Restful Web Services (http://tinyurl.com/2g3bas)
  9. @wakaleo Cool. I'm using it for a course in dec, too! Set it up so students just change to the "solutions" branch to see the answers inplace
  10. @pmcneil Sadly not. The default mic gain is low. As it "used when recording your band's practice session" low. Next time will switch to med.
  11. Is now a proud owner of a Zoom H2 personal mp3 recorder. Can't wait to try it out with some interviews as osdc...
  12. If you are keen to get a feel for Mercurial, check out Ted's presentation: http://tinyurl.com/ykl7qre -- I'm loving Mercurial these days...
  13. @wmacgyver Pleasure. PS. You should add yourself to groovyblogs.org :-)
  14. @wmacgyver In extreme the rhino would be pulling a fully laden semi so speed wouldn't be an issue ;-)
  15. I'm brewing this idea called "Rhino development". Move as fast as you can and let your hard head compensate for your poor eyesight...
  16. @daveklein But what a set of minutes they are! Worth is just for the listener feedback I reckon :-)
  17. Uploading a fully mixed copy of Episode 99 of the @grailspodcast. Stay tuned. It's a short 24 minute newscast with listener feedback!
  18. @InnovationHero Thanks mate. Someone sent me one but I'll always make use of the spare! Great!
  19. In other news, I am totally in love with mercurial. The tooling in Netbeans works like a dream. Must try the eclipse plugin tomorrow...
  20. Playing with the ckeditor plugin. Awesome stuff! Simple tags, and generates pretty clean html FTW. http://grails.org/plugin/ck...
