  10. There are 2 main forms of glaucoma: open-angle (the most common form that affects approximately 95% of individuals) & closed-angle.
  11. Juvenile glaucoma typically affects patients at a young age (teens) & is managed similarly to open-angle glaucoma w/ reduction of IOP.

  19. Some studies have shown that consumption of caffeine causes transient elevation of eye pressure in patients with glaucoma.
  20. Open-angle glaucoma initially has no symptoms. Eye pressure builds up gradually. Without treatment, total blindness will occur.
