  1. *real* men write regular expressions that don't fit in a single tweet. (yes, I just did. it's perfectly understandable :p)
  2. @jamesladd how remote? Most svn ci servers don't actually sit on the svn box anyways. It should be fine...
  3. @jamesladd a judicious application of smalltalk? ;p
  4. Pro tip: when arguing the case for unix-style simplicity, you really *shouldn't* mention emacs... ( http://bit.ly/1yUYeb )
  5. I *thought* you lot were being awfully quiet, but 'twas just my ipod app failing. Stupid twitpocalypse...
  6. @imccoy depends on your pixels. Your lazy image editor probably just paints (0,0,0,0) RGBA which is black when you drop the A...
  7. @tomayac TL and TR are already used for "back to folders" and the options popup. Care to take this discussion elsewhere? http://tr.im/okWf
  8. @tomayac there's no good place to put the two "sync" buttons if the first two tabs are combined though
  9. @alex_murray yeah, the features aren't really new - my main excitement is that alcor is being paid by google to make awesome software :D
  10. @tomayac If you want a different style, just play with /var/mobile/GRiS/template/style.css. And I'm always open for suggestions...
  11. Google quick search box - like quicksilver, and written by the same fellow. Worth checking out (mac only atm): http://tinyurl.com/l9kfo9http
  12. Argh. Badwidth the cappius strikes again...
  13. My iTouch just corrected "un-fantastic" to "unicycle-fantastic". You know me too well, tiny computer...
  14. Aww crap, I just realised they're compile-time strings and don't ship with each version :(
  15. Anyone know how I can get a localised string from firefox's internal strings dictionary, instead of providing the strings with my plugin?
  16. @jamesladd well maybe just my most recent encounterings of xml in two speed-critical systems. I thought you loved broad generalisations ;p
  17. xml is great! It's so universal! Except when everyone parses it using fragile regexes because of the ever-present "performance reasons"
  18. Really freaks me out when the power dies while I'm dragging the "take screenshot" region selector thingie.
  19. just watched the google wave intro video. You need some pretty compelling features to make the web more complicated, but I'm sold
  20. @Paul_Bone rediscovering the necessity of responsive UIs ;)
