Saw largest flock of crows I've ever seen yesterday, well over 100. Wintertime birds numerous, including raucous nuthatches in big pines.

Over last wks, watched a Mississippi Kite on a fav treetop spot, eating cicadas brought by parents. It learned to soar, and now they're off!
