  1. @gz7comp I have no formal bibliography but some of our Connectivist Classroom research is here: http://geoffcain.wikispaces...
  2. @tmg2301 I did an import of a Bb archive directly into Sakai and it read the tests - multiple choice, true false, fill in the blank, etc.
  3. Found "Bfree" a tool that extracts Bb archives for import to other LMSs or as HTML.
  4. @skydaddy Okay, it took me four days to get it but ravilox or loxioli is very funny - I thought it was some web widget I didn't know about!
  5. Went hiking in the redwoods at Avenue of the Giants. Found some fallen trees that were obviously torn open by bears to get at the termites.
  6. Between graduation/moving/new job/Rita leaving/house hunting, I went over my texting limit last month! I had a limit?? Rita's influence...
  7. @wfryer That sounds like a lot of work to reproduce YouTube channels & iTunes U - both of which are free.
  8. Jax used the smoked salmon that TCC folks gave us to make ravioli tonight - she is my top chef!
  9. @gsiemens No, once we put in the server location and password, it found everything. Archive your mail on the server if you need it later.
  10. @jonmott Mail migrations are never pretty - Entourage is one solution - switching over to gmail is probably even better.
  11. @gsiemens We use Entourage in the Mac Office suite and do not have any problems. We were able to pull email and contacts from the college.
  12. @rsmart I have a faculty member here who would like to use a "task list" in Sakai. Do we have such a tool?
  13. @gsiemens With all of the different venues (Moodle, Facebook, SL) it felt like a series of seminars or a conference (in the best sense).
  14. @wilw Yeah, it is called DSL (damn small linux) www.damnsmalllinux.org/
  15. @gsiemens I think innovation requires competition, yet I can't see Google buying and suing their way to the top ala Blackboard
  16. appreciating Sakai's philosophy of a "CLE" collaborative learning environment vs. "LMS" learning management system
  17. Siemens & Downes referenced in description of an innovative Sakai course on reflective and interactive elearning: http://bit.ly/1XlXj
  18. After a week of movimg I got to go to the Unitarians today and unload a trailer of furniture - the ball of whute light has a sense of humor.
  19. @Humboldt_Herald I stand corrected! Willow Creek is in Humboldt County and it is 90º F today and the high here is 58º. I like marine layers!
  20. The high will be 99º F in Redding, CA and 59º F in Eureka, CA - same county, 40 degrees difference in temp.
