  1. @DominickEvans I made my own whole-milk yogurt without a yogurt maker; I've been craving really thick greek-style yogurt lately.
  2. My yogurt experiment today was reasonably successful, tho there was a LOT of whey. It's now draining in cheesecloth overnight. Will report.
  3. @stonedragonfly Yup, I'm seriously considering buying one this week :-D
  4. Making pesto in my blender & really wishing I had a food processor!
  5. Apparently complaining to twitterdom is all I needed to do to find the BB. For some reason it was on the floor in my 8yo son's room. Weird.
  6. Wah - I have lost my blackberry. Last seen in the car about 6h ago; I suddenly realized I hadn't heard its annoying buzz buzz all evening.
  7. @GigglesSilly I have the same problem on FB. I've turned off email notifications from apps so I can basically ignore all the garbage.
  8. @DominickEvans Yeah, my BBQ really comes into its own in summer. We didn't have one for a few yrs & really missed it in hot weather!
  9. @paneetsingh Yum, what flavour did you get? I got the fruit punch gatorade, my son got banana. Orange gatorade is way better.
  10. Just had the most amazing barbecued potatoes, bought this am at the farmer's market. They were sweet, creamy and delicious.
  11. Didn't find tonka beans at Gourmet Warehouse on E Hastings. I guess I will need to start calling around to look for them.
  12. @KulpreetSingh It's on Robson just west of Jervis. There's a dedicated vegetarian kitchen, they cook a lot with meat substitutes.
  13. Trying to figure out where to buy tonka beans in Vancouver. Anyone know a good gourmet herb/spice store? (yeah, I know about the coumarin)
  14. @raspberrykids Well done! enjoy your beer :-)
  15. Just checked out the Burnaby farmer's market for the first time. My most exciting find was a massive bunch of fresh sweet basil for $2. YUM.
  16. Gotta get out of my PJs so I can run to the 7-11 across the street and get my first free Slurpee of the day.
  17. @Paperclippe I love black cats!
  18. @raspberrykids If you can, I'd do the Grouse Grind on a weekday; it's going to be a zoo today!
  19. @mrsmicah ick indeed! can't stand that stuff.
  20. @desm I should read Hayate then! I'm trying to read Yakitate!! Japan and i have to use a magnifying glass to make out the furigana :-(
