Off to get some supper. Then pay some bills. Then spend the Friday night on the porch with the Macbook Air. Life in the fast lane, baby. :-/

@buscemi - How'd you get screwed? Employment-wise?
I loved going to the Borland Developer Conferences in the 90's. But I just unsubscribed from David I's CodeGear email newsletter. No point.
But these days, if I develop on Windows its going to be C# & Visual Studio, not Borland/CodeGear/Embarcadero's C++ Builder or Delphi. *sigh*
Embarcadaro buys CodeGear, i.e. dev tools part of Borland. *sigh* I'll fondly remember Borland from Turbo Pascal on DOS thru C++ Builder.
@BillAlexander - I thought you were running for *vice* president? http://tinyurl.com/58nv34
@chrisbrogan - tell him to try spinrite from grc.com
@BillAlexander - Happy birthday, man!
Time to take the garbage out, get something to eat, and hunt up quarterly tax forms. Not necessarily in that order.
@jaxmac - I'm still on an early MBP with 2 Gb RAM and a 100 Gb HD. I'm just waiting until the next refresh to upgrade.
@jaxmac - I run vmware fusion a lot, so I'd like as much memory and disk as I can get. But the disk has to be fast, hence the 7200 RPM.
Hah! Eventually. But I'll settle for a 300 Gb, 7200 RPM drive for the next one. And big external firewire 800 drive.
@pj33322 - I'll take what I can get... as long as its 7200 RPM
Give me a 28 or 3.0 GHz Core 2, 4 Gb RAM, and 300 Gb HD and a MBP will be my main machine. Happily. You listening, Apple?
I've been using the MBP as my main machine for a month. I like it, except for needing more disk space, memory, and faster processor.
My 24" iMac (the final white version) is in the AppleCare shop with what I believe is a bad nvidia card.
I'm at the FCC hearing at CMU in Pittsburgh. Are you?
The FCC is having a hearing on "the future of the internet" (net neutrality) at CMU today. I'm going. --> http://tinyurl.com/5vhkhg
@LyriqueTragedy - ow... that's not fun. Stop going there..
@Veronica - Happy b'day, Veronica
