  14. @DDurnford Wait a sec. I'm thinking about Tar Spot Fungus (Rhytisma acerinum). Same thing as Black spot?
  15. @DDurnford We tend to get black spot in the fall; affecting Norway Maple almost exclusively.
  16. @DDurnford Without a Sugar Maple in front of me, it looks like maple petiole borer. Those wily hymenoptera! Thanks for the suggestion.

  18. @DDurnford Interesting. Certainly the petiole is missing and distal end remaining is black where leaf has detached. Leaves not desiccated.
