  1. What's up w/ orgs using IE6? Can't they have one browser for normal stuff and a stupid IE6 icon for intranet-only?
  2. peanut butter for Firefox is a fair trade http://bit.ly/LtJsx (and I love PB&Js!) also, IE->FF reduces malware costs
  3. @flavio_castelli: oh, that actually makes sense! very good points. thanks!
  4. Firefox (& other browsers) should indicate when the page is scaled; weird stuff can happen. It's a usability problem, esp. for webapps.
  5. just this morning, two different people reported "bugs" which turned out to be accidental page scaling in Firefox 3.5. "Fun..."
  6. @imagiag: a few IE6 links: http://bit.ly/Daqma http://bit.ly/28OyAk http://bit.ly/10SNcX
  7. is it silly to do street cleaning after a hard rain, especially while it's still drizzling? 'cause that's what they're noisily doing outside
  8. @sogrady: sure! preferences -> content -> Javascript advanced button -> uncheck "Move or resize existing windows"
  9. @abock: I guess this would be an example of why RMS doesn't like "the cloud". Of course, the music is mostly proprietary too... d:
  10. Seems others are noticing that Last.fm + Banshee no longer works http://bit.ly/Pe04C
  11. Ugh. Why is Last.fm not working right in Banshee? ):
  12. it's good that my computer has left/right balance in its mixer to compensate for my (temporary) allergy-related hearing balance issue
  13. on the plus side, being (temporarily) partially deaf means less construction noise annoyance @ home. (:
  14. Still mostly deaf in my left ear and a little hard of hearing in my right. Hopefully this fixes itself soon.
  15. I totally agree with @jimmac. Coffee on the island was ick. Sipping tasty espresso now.
  16. I thought #gcds was amazingly great (with so many awesome people), but am so happy to be home! (:
  17. Now we're at the beach, watching the windsurfing world competition. There's free wifi here too! (;
  18. 1500 meters up, in the mountains of Gran Canaria, there is a free hotspot. Here with @jimmac, @mpt, et al.
  19. If you're still @ Las Palmas, Gran Canaria for #gcds, I HIGHLY recommend eating @ Restaurante Tehran. Map: http://bit.ly/Npjdx
  20. Breakfast consisted of orange juice and a vegetarian sandwich with ham. Didn't eat the sandwich, obviously.
