  1. @looneytunes We started packing boxes six days before we had to move out of our old house. Much more fun than planning ahead!
  2. @looneytunes I think it looks great. Love the red wall.
  3. @DerekMarkham I just started reading a book by Doug Fine last night. He's got a little farm outside Silver City. He sounds a lot like you.
  4. This is freakin ridiculous: http://bit.ly/1tqZzN What has our world come to???
  5. Petition to keep Monsanto & GMOs out of foreign aid: http://bit.ly/QGRoF
  6. Can't stop reading this site: http://www.dougfine.com/
  7. The seeds I planted last week are all sprouting. They're in little peat pods in mini-greenhouses, waiting to be transferred to raised beds.
  8. Lots of projects in the works around here lately: http://bit.ly/pPuXa
  9. @loreleibarkley I signed the petition. What a backwards-moving step that would be for Australia and the world in general!
  10. The drain was also leaking when we got here. I took it apart, removed the huge disgusting clog, and put it back together tighter. No leaks!
  11. kick ass. I just unclogged a drain in our new house. And managed to not vomit while I pulled out someone else's giant hair ball and gunk.
  12. @PlusSizeMommy That's pretty cool - congrats!
  13. @loreleibarkley Seriously? Is Australia trying to ban homebirth?
  14. @brokeinthecity You can put the small leaves in salads - they add some kick to a plate of mild greens.
  15. @brokeinthecity They're sort of bitter, and pretty strong tasting, sort of like arugula. The smaller they are, the milder the taste.
  16. Now I'm gonna go make a huge green smoothie with all those dandelions. A little bitter, but we feel great afterwards.
  17. Just harvested a ton of dandelion greens from the yard. Sucks to not have our swiss chard and kale garden, but dandelions are free!
  18. @KristensRaw I'm thrilled for you! How're you feeling so far? So glad I checked your blog before calling it a night. *smiles*
  19. That will work perfectly until we get our garden up and running. And the organic lady at the farmers market farms locally - added bonus!
  20. Our new town has a grocery store, but it doesn't have anything organic =( But the farmer's market has a great organic stall =)
