  1. @thistimeforward yep! Too good to turn down. Have to pay out of pocket though, since I just did the narrative medicine one in June.
  2. Recommended caffeine intake in pregnancy, from coffee, tea, pop and chocolate: http://tinyurl.com/yzuo5nj
  3. @bartrand Sort of like the last patient of the day hemorrhaging onto the floor when you were counting on a sore throat.
  4. Attending the inaugural Canadian Refugee Health Conference, despite it being in TO in November. http://tinyurl.com/ygec3l5
  5. Canadian H1N1 deaths by province, updated bi-weekly: http://tinyurl.com/pwl4et
  6. Expecting to be overrun by eight eight-year-olds in seven minutes. Armed with chocolate cupcakes & a list for a scavenger hunt in the woods.
  7. @thistimeforward Good news? or bad?
  8. Any recommendations for making a blog book?
  9. I put an embryo on a daycare waitlist, once. http://tinyurl.com/pyf5wy
  10. @Hola35 That does sound perfect . . . great ending to summer (and cheaper than the PNE).
  11. Seem to have rotated fall clothes into my closet prematurely. 28 C inland today, heading to Cultus Lake, and staring at a row of cardigans.
  12. Went out to garden and discovered a mound of bear scat in the (fenced) yard, next to the sandbox.
  13. Saskia needs a summer vacation photo for school. Had none printed so sent the Flickr link along on a scrap of paper to pull up on class pc.
  14. Brought kids to school this AM. Globes on filing cabinets, smell of library books, shoes squeaking on polished floors: nostalgia.
  15. @Heli_doc Love it! Kids do come up with the most brilliant quotes.
  16. @HeidiKJ Good! That story still amuses me too. Kept the Starbucks receipt. Didn't fault Pete - he thought he had as much time as w Saskia.
  17. Five years ago today, I delivered my son while my husband enjoyed a latte and chocolate croissant at the Starbucks across town.
  18. Back from vacation on Hornby Island/Parksville and bracing myself to be eaten alive by two weeks' worth of patients and paperwork tomorrow.
  19. Interpreter for afternoon clinic was crestfallen because he didn't know how to say 'patellofemoral syndrome' in Arabic.
  20. @racheljludwig She is right - a friend or two would do more for her health than any medication or counseling. Wish it could be me . . .
