  8. I think things are running a little bit faster in Ubuntu 9.10 vs. 9.04. It's certainly no slower.
  9. I'm using Gedit as my primary text editor in Ubuntu. I'm comfortable with it. Biggest issue: It's too hard to change case from the keyboard.

  11. Not just due to Ubuntu 9.10 issues, although they are a factor, I have a Debian Lenny laptop (with encrypted LVM) ready to go
  12. Since the next Ubuntu release, 10.04, is an LTS, just like 8.04 before it, I will definitely be using it for at least a year
  13. I didn't foresee having quite as many things break in the Ubuntu 9.04-9.10 upgrade. Should I have stuck with 9.04 longer?
  14. After about a week or two, I have a feeling that Ubuntu 9.10 is performing slightly better than 9.04 (and by extension 8.04). No evidence.
