  2. @ncsuemme For you, I'd say 5 - 10 minutes. For someone with a Kitchenaid, closer to 5.
  3. @ncsuemme It's not so much minutes as it is consistency--you want it fluffy and light. Just make sure to move the mixer around.
  4. @ncsuemme Your hand mixer may be the problem. Make sure to move it around vigorously as you beat the butter and sugar.
  5. @ncsuemme Is your butter at room temperature when you make it? Are you beating it enough so the sugar gets incorporated?
