  4. We used yesterday's beautiful fall day to release 4 Red-taled Hawks that had all recovered from serious injuries.
  5. Zen, our new education Cooper's Hawk, is doing his first education program today.
  6. Red-shouldered Hawk's surgery went well.
  7. Admitted gorgeous adult female Red-shouldered Hawk with ruptured crop - in surgery now.
  8. Bluebird with head trauma continuing to improve and now using high perches.

  10. Another death due to rodenticide poisoning-this time a Cooper's Hawk. Spread the word not to poison rats and mice.
  11. Admitted two hawks last night both with open fractures to the wings....trying to save both birds. One needs surgery.
  12. Just recovered another Great Horned Owl from a soccer net. I think this was GHO soccer net #4 for the year.
  13. At 5:30 am we already have volunteers throughout downtown Chicago picking up window collision birds.

  15. Diggory's neurological syptoms have improved slightly. Eye exam shows a tear to her left cornea.
  16. Diggory fans - Diggory is still displaying neurological symptoms but is eating well.
  17. We understand that a Fox Squirrel admitted today is the mascot for some of you. Diggory is doing fine so far....
  18. Heavy day for migrating birds hitting buildings in downtown Chicago. 100% survival for the day of those picked up alive.
  19. Just picked up Red-tailed Hawk with probable rodenticide poisoning. Will confirm diagnosis once back at clinic.
