  1. @stevemosby No, no. I said a scene can be improved, not that it makes it good. Think instead of a Backdraft minus fire, thus my point stands
  2. @stevemosby Every scene can be improved by the inclusion of fire.
  3. @stevemosby I know it has to involve fire, but can't come across as a deus ex machina - does that sound familiar too?
  4. Pacing around trying to figure out exactly what happens next.

  14. While booting up laptop to resume work on book, somehow did equivalent of hitting funny bone, but hit self above knee cap. Fuck that hurt
  15. First time I have seen a film at the cinema where the audience applauded at the end. Polite, British applause, but applause nevertheless
  16. About to watch Avatar in 3D. Considering cinema's pretty much full and I got my ticket two minutes after program started, got a good seat...
  17. @empiremagazine Much as I enjoy your reviews, I'm not sure if you've done any quite as acute and thorough as this one: http://is.gd/5tN5o
  18. The question at the end of part 1, where people try to describe the characters, I am so using that when I need feedback on draft 2
